The heads of both families were former members of Colin Street's SWAT Team.
Glenn & Lucinda Collins & daughter, Rachel. Glenn was black-haired, blue-eyed, and walked like he was born to his uniform; he and his wife had a daughter, Rachel (11). As best we can piece it together, little Rachel was bitten by a crawling zombie that made it into New Haven through a the broken storm grate over one of our stream-beds, and her parents did their best to hide her sickness and eventual death by picking a fight with their housemates, the Ruizes, and moving suddenly onto the uninhabited Cow Pasture Annex. The child must have bitten her parents some weeks later, and they, too, rose again.
Eduardo Ruiz & wife, Rosalinda; children, Esperanza (1), Carlos (4), and Enrique (6). They were a Hispanic family. Eddie was extremely built, almost as wide as he is tall, without an ounce of fat on him. Presumably, the Ruiz family went to pay the Collins family a visit, likely to convince them to give up their odd lifestyle and return to civilization, and never made it back alive. The youngest child, hardly more than a year old, was eaten; nothing was found of her but her shoes.
