OOC Name: Selsie/SLC/Thalia
OOC Gender: Female
IC Name: Isabella “Bella” Reid, nee DuBois
Character Model: Random + Anne Hathaway
Age: 28
Sex: Female
Hair: Brown
Eyes: Green-Hazel
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 130 lbs under normal circumstances
Weapons: A small hatchet also used for chopping kindling. When encountering more than one or two of the walking dead, Bella has had no recourse but to flee on horseback.
Special Survival Skills: An intermediate-level Western rider
Quirks: Uses the memory of her recently deceased husband as a combination journal and pen-pal, these “diary entries” or “invisible letters” taking the form of both rambling conversations and internal monologues describing her thoughts and experiences. Bella’s conversations with Travis are becoming more infrequent as she meets other survivors.
Short Biography:
For the first two years after the outbreak, Bella Reid and her husband, Travis, shared an isolated and self-sufficient existence in Western Ohio, where they continued raising cattle, horses, and crops much as they had before the world died. With no evidence to the contrary, the pair genuinely believed they were the only survivors of the zombie apocalypse. How doubly tragic for the couple, then, that Bella was infertile, and that there would be no children from their loving union.
A migrating horde of the dead put an end to their quiet subsistence on June 1, 2015, overrunning the Reids’ log-and-post ramparts and laying waste to their livestock… and to Travis, who turned back to save as many of the cattle as he could. Bella barely escaped on Tallboy, Travis’s prize Quarter Horse stallion, with a pack mare in tow.
Plagued by the ceaselessly following undead, Bella traveled cross-country for some two weeks before encountering Castle Kane and a small band of survivors in the Amish country of northern Ohio. It was not a moment too soon, for she would otherwise have died of dysentery (hee!) compliments of a spoiled can of peas. Castle nursed Bella back to health and set her and his merry band of Mexican and African-American refugees on the road toward New Haven before continuing on his journeys.
