Until the items have been inventoried, they will not be distributed. The exception is the ammunition that will go into stores immediately and coal that will be given out to help keep people warm.

as for the random containers...puts in my vote for some building supplies like shingles and wood and such so we can make repairs to some of the houses without butchering other homes to do it. also would like to see some batteries, not marine or car but AA and such if we can find them, alot of those kids toys are gonna run on batteries

Maya, one of them will be refurbed medical equipment that we can use again; but I think we can add one that's building supplies. Most of them need to be not really useful stuff as part of a storyline.

I think we should not distribute the powered toys... only the stuff that runs on people power and imagination. Batteries are only going to last a little longer... no sense in keeping the kids attached to toys that aren't going to work in a year or 2.

Just a clarification on the not-otherwise-specified shipping containers: We have an NPC ne'er-do-well whose plotline of being a royally useless asshole has been developing over the past few weeks. Essentially, he was tasked with checking out shipping containers and labeling ones that would be useful for life in New Haven. He slapped labels any which-way without looking, resulting in some truly random crap like... computer equipment destined for Best Buy and feather boas LOL.

As for batteries for kids' toys -- Abigail and NPCs searched out old-school things like board games and chess sets that don't require batteries, since it would be cruel for them to get attached to things that won't last. However, that means if we did find batteries, we get to use them for flashlights!
